WGHS Staff Scoop
2020-21
Let's get ready for the 2020-21 school year!
Thank you for your resilience and patience as we navigate this unchartered territory. I hope you have still been able to enjoy the last few weeks of summer and have made time invest in yourself and others. I wanted to share some important information as startup approaches:
- We will be unable to connect for a barbecue lunch together on opening day, August 12. We are currently looking for alternate options for our staff meeting.
- We welcome new teachers and staff. The inherent rhythm of schooling calls for us to experience the challenges and rewards of change. It is my hope that the unrelenting resolve to serve students and each other, long ago established and entrenched at WGHS, continues to bind us together.
- As you peruse the Staff Scoop, please pay particular attention to the early August dates and the activities noted. It’s certainly been a very busy summer with much still to do, but with the collaborative work and dedication of our staff, I am confident we will be the school we aspire to be as we start the new school year.
If you have any questions, do not hesitate to call me at 918-4122 or Mickey Erb at 918-4123.
Please recall my invitation to set up at time to come in if you are so inclined. Enjoy the remainder of your vacation. I look forward to seeing you all very soon.
Sincerely,
Matt

Media Center
The Copy Center is now open full-time, 7 am to 3 pm, to WGHS staff. Orders can be submitted electronically to mediacenter@wgmail.org. Take care to provide the number of copies needed, order details such as stapling, 3-hole punched, etc. and the due date. Hard copy orders can be dropped off in the wooden box outside the Copy Center door. Don’t forget to fill out an order request and paperclip the request to each original. Keep in mind that orders that involve many-paged packets could require a longer processing time, and orders requesting the use of color ink or cardstock require a billable account number.
Feel free to contact me if you have any questions/concerns.

A Note from Human Resources
We need your help in making the staff directory as accurate as possible.
1. If you have changes to your name, address, or phone number, please make sure Daphney Sumner and Human Resources are notified immediately.
2. We need to be notified by August 1, 2020 if you do not wish to have your home phone number and address in the directory.
3. If you have had a name change over the summer, we will need a copy of your new social security card.
4. Please send us your receipts and grades in order to receive tuition reimbursement for your summer courses (please note that you must have pre-approval).
5. If you submitted a request for tuition reimbursement form to the HR for a summer class, and the class was canceled, please notify LaNita Harrison with an email or a phone call at 918.4309.
