Werner’s Book Fair

Book Fair dates: May 11-14

Dear Families,

Mrs. Siemers is currently on an extended absence. We do not know an exact return-to-work date at this time, and we will let you know when we have more information. Please be assured that students’ needs are being addressed by a licensed substitute teacher and the team of teachers and administrators at Werner.

We appreciate your support for our staff member. At this time, we believe the best support you can provide to Mrs. Siemers is not contacting her while she is away. This allows her to focus on improving her health and allows the school to focus on taking care of students. Questions may be addressed directly with Mr. Camp.

The Werner PTA is so proud of how our community helped show support and school spirit during our Fun Run fundraising event and we want to thank everyone for all you did to make it a success! We will have more information about how much we raised and our plans to use it soon. Our final PTA meeting of the year will be May 13 at 10:00 am via the Zoom link below.

We will be discussing our plans for the next school year to engage and expand the activities that we do, and we hope you can join us and get involved. In particular, we are looking for two people to join the Board as our VP of Fundraising and VP of Programs. Werner PTA

The COVID-19 pandemic has created financial hardships for many in our community, leading to housing instability and food insecurity. There are financial resources available to help families and landlords and protections in place to help people stay housed. The PSD Department of Language, Culture, & Equity has worked with community partners to put together resources to support families.
