Tomorrow's the big day!!
Parents and students will be anxious to get into the building tomorrow morning. All non classroom staff will need to be available to direct parents and students to the classrooms . Teachers will need to stand by their door to greet students and parents. We will allow parents to start heading to the classrooms at 7:15 only on the first day. This will alleviate the traffic in the front. Beginning Tuesday, we will hold them until the 7:35 bell. Morning duty staff will begin directing students to the cafeteria, gym, or hallway on day 2. Please help me communicate this to parents.

HEAT Ticket or Custodial Binder??
If you have a need and don't know how to fix it please ask! Well lit classrooms are vital to a conducive learning environment. If you have a light out in your classroom, it needs to be written in the custodial binder located in the workroom. A leaky sink or rubber lining that hold down the carpet requires a HEAT ticket. If you email me with specific details and your room number, Daniel (our district maintenance man) will come and repair it. Anything do to with technology will require a technology HEAT ticket. Teachers cannot move printers or computers without a HEAT ticket.
Books needed!
If you have any books that you could spare (because your library is already very robust) please drop them off in the interventionists' former room or Cindy's former room. We will need to help build a classroom library for the new additions.
Scholastic Book Club Orders
Want to get students excited about reading? Want to help build your classroom library by earning free books? Send the Scholastic Book Order forms home with your students. This is a great way to foster a love of reading in your classroom! Every teacher should send them home. If you don't want to send place the order yourself or don't have enough to make it a big order, ask your neighbor and maybe you could put the orders together!
