A Message from Mrs. Belcher:
Leopard Families,
It’s been wonderful having your students back at school! Our students are getting into their routines and are working hard. We couldn’t be more proud!
We understand and share your concerns about the increase of COVID-19 cases in our community. We continue to recommend and strongly encourage that all employees, students, and families take all precautions necessary to protect one another. Regular hand washing, staying home when sick, and wearing a mask or face covering as appropriate are practices that helped keep our district open last year. Our building and classrooms are also e-misted daily along with being cleaned in accordance with our standard practices. Prevention of disease transmission in our schools will take all of us working together. Please visit Conroe ISD’s Roadmap to Remaining Open website for updated guidance, COVID-19 testing information, and frequently asked questions. Please watch the video message below from Dr. Null.
Just as a reminder our doors open at 7:30 a.m. Our school announcements begin at 7:55 a.m. and our instruction begins promptly at 8:00 a.m. If your child arrives after 8:00 a.m., please park and sign in your child at the front door. Please do not leave your child unattended on the front porch. If your child eats breakfast at school, we recommend they get to school by 7:40 in order to get breakfast and make it to class for the morning announcements.
Our car rider line begins accepting students into the building at 7:30 a.m. For safety purposes, please do not leave your child on the front porch before our arrival time. If you choose to walk your child to campus, please walk your child to the Commons door at the end of the Kindergarten hallway. One of our staff members will be there to welcome your student into the building. If you are running late, staying in the car rider line is the most efficient and safe way for your child to arrive. If you choose to park and let your child walk, please accompany your child down the center sidewalk to the Commons door. For safety purposes, only children exiting their vehicles from the car rider line may enter the front door of the school. This keeps traffic moving and prevents children from walking in between vehicles. Parents who are dropping their children in the car rider line are focused on their child exiting their vehicle and may not be aware of children crossing.
To ensure an efficient flow of traffic, please have your child ready to exit your vehicle. Students should have their needed items easily accessible. Please have your child ready to exit the passenger side of your vehicle. This is the safest and most efficient way for your child to exit. All parents should remain inside their vehicle.
Thank you for your patience as we work through our dismissal procedures. Each day will continue to get faster as our students practice. Please have your car rider and or biker/walker sign readily available. This week we will begin dismissal at 3:10.
Due to the rise in Covid cases, we will be limiting visitors entering our building. If you need to drop an item off or need assistance, please ring the front doorbell and a staff member will come out to assist. We encourage all visitors to wear face coverings.
