Here is How It Works!
For each person that newly registers with TRRC will earn one ticket and each person that renews with TRRC will receive two tickets to enter for a chance to win a $100 Gift Card to a hotel stay. New members can be any person in the education field or in our reading council community that would like to support literacy events in our area. There is a $5 discount for any NEW members. Contest runs from
AUG. 25 - OCT.15.

COST: $40 for new member, $45 for renewing members, $25 for preservice/non cert.

Harvesting Student Potential: Helping Students Set Goals Based on Data
In this workshop, educators will learn easy ways to take the assessment data that they use to plan for student success, and share it with students, using easy to understand language and an organized system. Educators will learn how to conference with students, one on one, and discuss assessment data, both formative and summative. Tools for organizing, sharing, discussing and setting student goals will be shared to help educators become more comfortable with this sometimes intimidating task.

We are Building S.T.E.A.M. into Your Home and School
Audience: Pre-K to 8th grade educators and parents
In this workshop, educators and parents will learn easy ways to incorporate STEAM into the classroom and home! STEAM is an acronym for Science, Technology, Engineering, Art and Math education. Learn how to focus on these areas together not only because the skills and knowledge in each discipline are essential for student success, but also because these fields are deeply intertwined in the real world and in how students learn most effectively.
