Introducing the Upcoming Professional Development
Collaborative Learning
At the upcoming PD meeting we will be diving into collaborative learning!
What exactly is collaborative learning anyway?
Collaborative learning is an approach to teaching and learning that involves groups of students working together to solve a problem, complete a task, or create a product.
We'll talk more about how we know this approach to learning works, in our meeting next week!
As you start to dive into collaborative learning here are some of the terms you might run into:
Collaborative technology: Digital tools that facilitate working together
Project-based Learning: method in which students gain knowledge and skills by working to investigate and respond to an authentic, engaging and complex question, problem, or challenge.
TPACK: Technological Pedagogical Content Knowledge (TPACK) is a framework that identifies the knowledge teachers need to teach effectively with technology
Why is technology integration so important in our courses?
