BeyGOOD Student Scholarship - (National) - Class of 2024
Fostering talent, promoting professionalism, and supporting entrepreneurship within the hair industry is deeply important to us. That's why we're partnering with Cécred to create the Cécred x BeyGOOD Fund, which celebrates the influence professional stylists have on hair health and the critical importance of advocating for the salon community. An annual $500,000 will fund cosmetology school scholarships and salon business grants across five cities chosen for their large, diverse community of hair stylists: Atlanta, Chicago, Houston, Los Angeles and New Jersey.
2024 Student Scholarship Criteria
- Either currently enrolled in or in receipt of an acceptance letter from one of the following partner cosmetology schools:
- Beaver Beauty Academy in Atlanta.
- Trenz Beauty Academy in Chicago.
- Universal College of Beauty in Los Angeles.
- Franklin Institute in Houston.
- Janas Cosmetology Academy in New Jersey.
- Demonstrates need due to financial hardship
- Completion of the application
- Resides within one of the five focus cities: Atlanta, Chicago, Houston, Los Angeles, New Jersey

Boom & Bucket 2024 Student Scholarship - (Local) - Class of 2024
Boom & Bucket is offering a scholarship of $1,000 to be awarded each year to a student pursuing a heavy machinery-themed program. This scholarship is available to both currently enrolled students and future students who are planning to attend a program within the next 12 months. The program can be at a college or a trade school anywhere in the United States or Canada.

Doug Miller and Don Sanders Scholarship - (Local) - Class of 2024
The Doug Miller and Don Sanders Scholarship Fund covers four years of college tuition and all related expenses for low income students at a Texas public university. Students can graduate with a degree and zero debt. We also pay for a semester abroad.

Jacques DeMolay Lodge Scholarship Fund, Inc - (Local) - Class of 2024
Every year, four (4) worthy students from the Houston area are hand selected by the Jacques DeMolay Scholarship Committee to receive a $1,500 college scholarship for the following collegiate year.
Minimum Qualifications:
- Student must graduate from a Houston-Area High School between January 1, 2024 and July 31, 2024.
- A copy of the student's high school transcripts reflecting a minimum GPA of 2.5 based on a 4.0 grading system.
- A properly executed, timely scholarship application submitted or postmarked by March 31, 2024.
- Include two (2) letters of recommendation as outlined on the application.
- Copies of the students SAT or ACT test scores. (Printed online core are acceptable if they include the student's name and identification).
- Student must be enrolled or planning to enroll in an accredited college or university of higher education for the current or subsequent school term. Trade or vocational schools enrollment does not qualify for this scholarship.
- all related documents (letters, scores, etc.) must be uploaded or mailed in ONE ENVELOPE to ensure timely consideration of application.
This scholarship will be awarded in a nondiscriminatory manner without regard to an applicant's race, creed, color, religious beliefs, gender, age, national origin, ancestry, physical or mental disability or veteran's status, or organizational affiliation.

Kailee Mills Foundation Scholarship - (Local) - Class of 2024
The purpose of the Kailee Mills Foundation Scholarship Program is to educate teen drivers about seat belt safety through seat belt awareness, research, volunteerism, and leadership. Scholarship recipients deliver high levels of academic achievement, ambition, leadership, and a desire to make a difference. The Kailee Mills Foundation has awarded $191,000 in scholarships since 2020.
We award numerous scholarships to students across the United States each year. The scholarship awards vary in range but could be up to $20,000. These scholarships must be used at any 2-year or 4-year accredited college or university. All applicants must show academic achievement and help to spread seat belt safety awareness in their community. The scholarship application is now open, and we will accept applications through April 1, 2024.

Vinson & Elkins L.L.P Scholarship - (Local) - Class of 2024
The Vinson & Elkins L.L.P. Scholarship Foundation will award $10,000 scholarships with paid summer internship opportunities, if the Firm hosts an intern program, to achieving high school seniors in the greater Austin, Dallas, and Houston areas.
These seniors must be interested in a career in law, be in the top 20% standing in their class with a minimum combined SAT score of 1100 or ACT score of 22, and demonstrate a financial need to attend college.

City of Houston Essay Contest - (Local) - Class of 2024
OPENS JANUARY 2, 2024
The City of Houston invites seniors at your school/district to participate in the 31st annual Public Service Recognition Week Essay Contest.
By submitting a short, 500-word essay, seniors can:
- earn up to $2,000 for college;
- practice writing skills;
- research current events and issues that affect the community;
- learn about the role of local government;
- learn about the broad range of public service career options.
Writing prompt: Choose a city career, put yourself in a city employee’s shoes, and write 500 words about how you would strengthen the City of Houston. Essays about careers or entities outside the purview of the City of Houston will not be considered. Provide specific suggestions about how you would improve or create innovative city programs.

Foundation For Fraternal Excellence Scholarship - (National) - Class of 2024
The scholarship is designed to identify and reward outstanding high school seniors who have demonstrated an ability to excel in the fields of academics, extra-curricular school activities, and community involvement. The scholarship is available to any male, graduating high school senior who is enrolling in a four-year undergraduate college program that commences in the fall. The scholarship is awarded through the Foundation for Fraternal Excellence, a registered 501(c)3 organization. Current or future membership in a fraternity is not required.
REQUIREMENTS:
- Must be a graduating high school senior in the United States
- Must identify as male
- Must have access to a U.S. bank account (for direct fund deposit if selected)

Texas Builders Foundation Scholarship - (Local) - Class of 2024
Each year, the Foundation awards scholarships to students who are enrolled in construction programs in Texas' technical and trade schools and colleges and universities and who are pursuing a career in the building industry.
Eligibility Requirements
- Applicant must have been accepted or is enrolled for the fall semester as a student in a Texas technical/trade school or community college/university and must be pursuing a residential construction related trade certification or residential construction degree.
- If applicant is a high school senior, they must have attended high school in Texas.

Impact Martin Luther King Jr. Scholarship - (Local) - Class of 2024
The Impact MLK Scholarship Foundation will award $1,500 scholarships to eligible graduating seniors.
Scholarship Criteria
- Senior graduating in the Spring of 2024 from one of the following school districts: Conroe ISD, Klein ISD, Magnolia ISD, Montgomery ISD, Spring ISD or Tomball ISD.
- 3.0 GPA or higher
- Verifiable community service
- Not a recipient of a full-ride scholarship to any University

Asian Chamber Foundation Scholarship - (Local) - Class of 2024
The Asian Chamber Foundation will award ten $2,000 student scholarships to deserving and academically-oriented graduating High School Seniors in the Houston metro area to aid in furthering their education. Applicants will be evaluated on the following:
- High School Senior in the Greater Houston area, graduated by June 2024
- Academics (Unweighted GPA > 3.0, high school transcript through Fall semester 2023)
- Must be enrolled and attend courses at accredited instruction of high learning in the Fall 2024
- Two Essays (between 300-500 words)
- One Video Essay Response (between 2-3 minutes)
- Community service and/or employment
- School activities (clubs, sports, etc...)
- Resume (No more than 2 pages, with detailed descriptions of duties, roles and responsibilities)
- One letter of recommendation from a community member, employer or volunteer supervisor (on official letterhead). Letters from teachers will not be reviewed.
