It's the last week of January! Who else is ready for January 31st? :) We have two awesome opportunities this week for PD. Please make your choice by the end of the day Monday.

Professional Development Two Choice Sessions
Please sign-up for the session, so the facilitator has enough copies and chairs. There is a cap for each session, so please click on the link provided by each facilitator to sign-up.
Choice Session One - Creating an Action Plan for Readers
This professional development session involves practical advice on how to collect, analyze, and interpret reading data. Participants will investigate various data collection tools, learn how to analyze and interpret the data, and create an action plan for students.
This session is for any teacher of literacy. Please bring any evidence you have been collecting on a struggling reader as well as your computer.
We will meet in the Media Center from 3:15-4:15. I look forward to seeing you there!

Choice Session Two: Formative Assessments that Align
If you are in need of quick and easy ways to develop formative assessments that align with your AKS, come check out this PD! We will be discussing the following:
- School Net (and its many uses)
- Go Far (constructive responses)
- Formative Assessment Books
- We will make and take so come with your current AKS or upcoming AKS to build upon! You will also need your laptop- fully charged!

LSPI: Local School Plan for Improvement
- You should have your mid-year DA data in your LSPI/RBES sheet and have the mid-year information done.
- You should be finished with the mid-year F&P.
RBES: Results-Based Evaluation System
- We will meet for RBES mid-year next week. I am looking forward to hearing about our students' progress.

- Ø Georgia School Personnel Survey
The Georgia School Personnel Survey (GSPS) is modeled after the student survey and includes 31 questions. The GSPS is for all certified and classified staff members who work at least 50 percent of the day in the school. At least 75% of certified and classified staff members must participate in the survey to be eligible for the School Climate Star Rating. Most teachers should be able to participate in the GSPS using their classroom computer. The survey is also accessible using a tablet or smartphone. Survey responses are anonymous and will be submitted directly to the Georgia Department of Education for analysis. Results from the Georgia School Personnel Survey will not be available to the public and will not be posted online. The Georgia School Personnel Survey link is posted below.
