What ingredients are we using?
We are making a healthier option of the traditional Mexican dish Quesadillas. The dish includes red peppers, green peppers,onions,whole wheat tortillas, grilled chicken and Monterrey jack cheese.
- The Whole grains from the tortillas contain antioxidants, lignans and fiber that work to keep your heart healthy by reducing risk factors for cardiovascular disease such as high blood pressure and cholesterol.
- Red peppers are a source of cholesterol- lowering soluble fiber and powerful antioxidant vitamins A and C, which are good for heart health. also a good source of potassium which is important optimal health care.
- Green peppers are also rich in flavonoids and phytochemicals. These reduce the formation of blood clots, thereby lowering the risk of stroke and heart attack.
- Onions significantly reduce high blood pressure in hypertensive adults.

We are also making guacamole which includes of course avocados,sour cream,cilantro and lime juice.
