TUMUAKI KŌRERO
Kia ora e te whānau,
It is hard to believe that we have less than four weeks to go until the end of the school year. It is really important learners continue to keep standards high with their uniform, arriving to school promptly and showing the TNIS WAY at all times in school.
Unfortunately, we have noticed some learners are not meeting our uniform expectations, in particular, sandals and socks. This is not acceptable at TNIS. Learners are welcome to wear black sandals with a back strap; however, no sandals and socks, please.
Year 8 PYP Exhibition: It was fantastic to see so many families visit the Year 8 PYP exhibition last Thursday evening. The quality of work on display and the enthusiasm of learners were excellent. I would like to acknowledge the support of our teaching team to ensure our learners were supported throughout their exhibition work. We are incredibly lucky to have such highly competent and hardworking teachers at TNIS.
School Hall Retractable Seating: A HUGE Thanks to those families who have generously contributed to our school hall upgrade. If you would like to purchase a bleacher seat, please see the information below.
Have a great weekend.
Kotahi karihi nāna ko te wao tapu nui a Tāne- The creation of the forests of Tāne comes from one kernel. (Starting small leads to growth).

Music Education Centre Music Lessons at TNIS
Instrumental music lessons are available right here at school! Our school partners with the Music Education Centre to offer one-to-one instruction to our students on-site. For busy parents, the convenience of these lessons makes it easier for your child to both have FUN and gain the educational benefits of learning an instrument. In addition to the lessons here at school, the Music Education Centre offers a wide variety of instruments through its centres outside of school time.

Breakthrough to Family Success: Parenting Teens with Love
It's not easy being a parent, and it's even tougher when the world your teenager lives in is constantly changing.
We all want our teenagers and adolescents to be happy and enjoy life, unfortunately, many teens are finding it hard to cope with the pressures they face every day.
Stress affects their education, their relationships with others, and their health. It may even threaten their life.
We all know the world we live in is changing: fast.
As parents, it’s hard to keep up.
As teens, it’s impossible.
What can you do?
If you want to help your teenager in the best way possible, the first step is to get educated. To help you, two parenting experts have joined up to run this exclusive event. One is a body language expert, the other is a family success coach.
In this 3-hour, face-to-face event teens and their parents will learn about the unique insights that can be gained from understanding body language and speech patterns.
Steph will be covering the ins and outs of body language: what we see (and how we interpret it), and what we give out to the world.
