Report Cards
Today students will receive their second trimester report card. Please keep in mind that a report card is information for the parents, it provides insight regarding student performance. The comments reflect beneficial information and goals for the next trimester. Please be sure to discuss the report card in a general way with your child. Please contact your child's teacher if you have any questions. Discussions can often provide additional clarity when needed.
The Placement Process
Wellness Day
On March 26th, Reynolds school hosted the 2nd Annual Wellness Day. Students participated in various stations set up around the school. Volunteers from the community and staff presented ways we can take care of our bodies, our mind and the people around us. Stations included boot camp, nutrition, yoga, geo-fitness, safety, dental health, junior spartans, karate, art therapy, mindfulness, obstacle course and farm fresh.
In the afternoon, Health Barn came in to do an interactive assembly for the whole school. The presenter talked about nutrition and the importance of eating from the five different food groups. The students and staff had a wonderful time learning new ways to incorporate these foods throughout the day.
We hope that the students enjoyed learning about Wellness through a variety of lenses. A special thanks to Mrs. VanRiper and Mr. Ramirez for their commitment to making this day a success.

April Healthy Hint: Maintain a healthy media diet
Children today are immersed in digital media which has both positive and negative effects on healthy development. Place consistent limits on the time spent using media and the types of media. It is recommended that parents are mindful that media is not taking the place of adequate sleep, physical activity and other behaviors essential to health.
Limit total screen time to no more than one to two hours per pay.
Encourage alternative entertainment for children; try activities that include hobbies, creative play, physical and social activities.
Designate media-free times together, such as dinner or driving, and create media-free locations at home such as the kitchen or bedrooms.
Serve as a role model and have ongoing communication about online citizenship and safety
Create a family media plan; all families are different but deciding when all devices are turned off for the night is a great addition to a plan. Customize an age appropriate plan for each child.
