Causes and Effects of Industrial Revolution in Britain
Positive and Negative Effects of Inustrialism
Although the Industrial Revolution sparked a new era of technology, it came with many down sides. It affected both the city and rural society. Since there were many new job openings at the factories, many people decided to move to the city to go work. This lead to major overcrowding in the city. This lead to a shortage of housing. Because of all of these factors there was a huge increase in crime. Some positive effects were that this led to better transportation and communication systems. This also helped people not rely on farming so much.

On Rural Society
The rural side was also greatly affected by the Industrial Evolution. The environment suffered from deforestation. Farmers suffered as well. Farming tools and machinery became more expensive, so that would leave farmers in debt.

Imperalism
Imperalism is when a nation wants to take control of another physically, economically, or politically. During the Industrial Revolution, imperalism took part. The forcing of slaves to work in the fields is a huge part of imperalism. The cotton was then taken to the textile factories and spun to make clothing.
