Principal's Pen

Please keep in mind that there is no school beginning tomorrow, May 26th through Tuesday, May 30th due to the holiday weekend and unused snow days. I hope that you enjoy the holiday weekend with your family.

Mrs. Connors will be going out on a leave for the final three weeks of school. Mrs. Tuck, one of our long-time employees will take over her classes for the remainder of the year, and they will spend some together next week before Mrs. Connors leaves to ensure a smooth transition. Mrs. Tuck can be reached with any questions at mtuck@banyanschool.org.

Next Friday is going to be our Annual Bring Your Pet to School Day. Parents can bring their pets to the playground area at 8:40 AM and we will stay outside until 9:20 AM. We look forward to seeing our families who can attend.

Saturday Social: There has been some confusion on the date of the last one. It is the 3rd and I have fixed it on the website.

We held our Second Annual Spelling Bee this morning. Check out the pictures below!

Make sure to check out the flyer about next week's Spring Concert. Parents are welcome to attend.

I wanted all of you to know that I do keep the calendar on the website updates with dates for the year. You can check that at any time if you have a question about the date of an event and the time. As the next month approaches, I do put a visual in this memo for you as a resource as well.

Saturday Social

Banyan School is offering their FINAL Saturday Social of the year on Saturday June 3, 2023. The hours are 9:30am – 12:00pm. If your child wishes to participate in this program, please fill out the permission slip below. The cost is $25 for each session. Please make checks payable to Banyan School. This permission slip below is also to inform you that a nurse will not be present at Saturday Social. Please print your name, sign, and date this permission slip to acknowledge your receipt of this notification.

Ice Skating and Ice Hockey Opportunity

I was recently sent information about an organization called, "The Monarchs," who are an all-volunteer organization that is passionate about helping children with special needs socialize and learn new skills while enjoying the sport of Ice Skating and Ice Hockey!

Practices are held at Montclair State University’s Ice Arena - 1 Arena Drive, Little Falls, NJ 07424

Jack's Walkabout Club

Jack's Walkabout Club cordially invites you to a walk in New York City at the HIGH LINE PARK and LITTLE ISLAND on Sunday June 4, 2023!

We will depart together on the 9:04 NJ Transit train from Orange to Penn Station. If you prefer alternate transportation, you can meet us there.
