BOB Update
- Please send lunch fees to Lakenan Jumper in Accounting Lunch is $7.00 per person. You must include tax on your total order, which is 6.75%. Lunch fees are due by February 9, 2018 to Lakenan Jumper, Accounting, Eugene Street.

GRANT OPPORTUNITY TO SHARE
- Walmart Community Grants are now open for applications! Grants of up to $5,000 are available now to schools and teachers. Apply here:
- Rankin Elementary, Oak Hill Elementary and Hunter Elementary were each awarded a $40,000 Family Literacy grant from Reading Connections.
- Carol King, Kernodle Middle School, was awarded a $1,000 SPICE Grant from the Guilford County Council of PTAs for her Kindness Club.
- Mary Nifong, Kirkman Park Elementary, was awarded a $500 Teacher Arts Grant from the High Point Arts Council for her Power of Storytelling project.

Librarian to Librarian Networking Summit
Time is running out! Registration for the 13th Annual Librarian to Librarian Networking Summit will close on Monday, February 19, 2018. This year’s event will be held on Saturday, February 24th, with award winning educator and author John Claude Bemis as our featured guest. Space is still available so get your registration and payment in today.

GASL Media Spec of the Year Nominations
Each year the Guilford Association of School Libraries (GASL) recognizes one outstanding GCS media specialist for GASL’s School Library Media Coordinator (SLMC) of the Year Award. GASL would like to invite you to nominate your media specialist for this special honor. The candidate must be a fully certified media specialist and a member of GASL to qualify.
If you are interested in nominating your school library media coordinator please click here to download the nomination form, guidelines and procedures for nominations. Nominations are due Friday, February 16, 2018.
