HOLY ROSARY NEWSLETTER
Term 2 Week 9 June 28 2019
FROM MARK
Dear Parents/Guardians
Congratulations Kelsey Stribbling and her Year Five Dominic Gang on your assembly today. It was a lot of fun! We really like your style!
Thanks also to our teacher of music, Michelle Kirwan, and her students involved in the 'Drumbeat' programme who played and welcomed us into the Assembly. Great effort!
Cross Country on Monday - Yahoo!
Thank you to the parents who were able to attend the Holy Rosary Community Meeting in the Staff Room on Tuesday evening. These meetings are a great opportunity to swing by, for around 90 minutes, to learn more about what the HRC are doing and why.
Please join us all for mass on the last day of term, in Church at 9am with Father Chinh and prepared by our Pre-Primary gang.
Our world changes on Monday! As you know from last Friday’s correspondence from the School Board, a lot of building activity is going to be taking place for the next eight weeks. Fortunately it includes the holidays and three student free days. The company involved has completed a lot of work in schools and is sensitive to their needs. We all need to be alert to the changes to routines and locations. Without a doubt parking is going to be affected, and increased use of the parking at Hale Hockey is going to be essential. Think of it as a big adventure!
And finally, please keep Sophie Martin in Year 5 Catherine and her parents Shellie and Dave in your prayers. Sophie is still in hospital. This from Shellie: "Please can you ask everyone to say prayers for Sophie. She's a strong little warrior but she, and and us, need all the extra love we can get." I know we all send much love and many prayers.
Have a good weekend.
Mark de Kluyver
Principal

Holy Rosary Cross Country Carnival 2019
The Year 3 to 6 students will be involved in the Holy Rosary Cross Country Carnival on Monday July 1. The carnival will take place at Jackadder Reserve in Doubleview and will commence at approximately 9am.
The approximate timetable for the day is in the table below. The times below will vary on the day with the flow of the carnival and should be used as a rough guide only.
If driving to the event please pay close attention to parking signs. Rangers have warned they will fine spectators on the day if they park in unauthorized spaces so please ensure you follow the rules to avoid such fines.
At the moment the forecast for July 1 is the chance of 0-2mm of rain. Can we ask that parents make sure that your child has a change of shirt, shorts and towel in their bag to change into if they are unlucky enough to encounter some rain during their race.
Special thanks to all of the parents that have put their name down to help. If I could meet with you at 8:45am at Jackadder that would be appreciated.

FAQ
Where will parents drop children to OSHC for before and after school care (Library) and vacation care (gym)?
Children need to enter through the main gate by the Office and walk up to the Library/Gym. Ongoing safety reasons mean that there will be no access through the Staff carpark.
