Third grade students in Rooms 306 and 311 shared their books with each other in a Writers' Workshop! They shared finished narratives and works in progress on Book Creator and in paper books they made themselves. There were so many creative ideas for characters, plots, and illustrations! It was also great to hear these author-illustrators sharing feedback with each other, asking questions, and explaining what inspired their stories. A special thank you to Peter H. Reynolds for inspiring our writing unit and giving our students the confidence to create their own books!
Second graders in 302 at the Sokolowski worked hard as a team of engineers to build a bird’s Nest to see how many eggs they could fit inside. They planned, designed and tested out their ideas. The students worked cooperatively and showed a lot of determination to fit the most eggs inside.
