First Grade, St. Mary's School

Week 10 with our Spooky Scholars

Hello again Parents!

I am excited to begin this halloween week with our students!


Important Reminders

  • On Wednesday, October 30th our first grade will be traveling to the Asian Art Museum from 10-2:45pm. Volunteers are welcomed even if you can only join us for a portion of the time. Any help is always appreciated
  • On Thursday, October 31st students are allowed to wear their costumes to school and we will be trick-or-treating around the K and 2nd grade classrooms. Students are welcome to bring treats to share. Please no mega size candy bars. Healthy snacks are strongly encouraged!
  • On Friday, November 1st we are having a minimum day and traveling to our monthly mass at Old St. Mary's. There will be no PE so please do not dress your children in their PE uniforms

Classroom Requests

Thank you to those of you who have brought the following. Please try to have these materials in by the end of the week

In an effort to organize our students as we transition I would like to request that each child have the following

  • 2 scissors
  • 2- 24 count (or more) crayon box
  • 2- jumbo pencils (or more)
  • 2- erasers
  • handheld sharpeners
  • 2- gluesticks
  • Have each of the following colored folder- red, green, blue, yellow, purple and a designated homework folder (it can be any pattern/design so long as it does not look like one of the above)


Personal Requests

  • White Printer Paper! If you have the means, could you please donate to our classroom paper stock pile? Thanks
