Supporting our Students & Families Through our Commitment to Caring
I am sure I echo the feelings of most, when I say that this has been a very unique week/time period in life. At Crossroads Academy and DAEP, our teachers and staff have pulled together to create and rollout a plan to best support our students and their families during this time. On Tuesday morning, the team began distributing devices, contacting students and parents, and delivering additional snacks. This was a wonderful experience to be a part of; a coming together of school professionals, students, and families that marks the best of what life is about, in my opinion. The learning structures we have rolled out will continue throughout the remainder of the week, and we will follow and update all of our students and families as we receive information/updates beyond this week. For now, students can continue to communicate with their mentor/classroom teacher to remain on track with their learning. Teachers are using every means available to work with our students (email, phones, text, etc), with the Edmentum software really supporting our efforts at distance learning. We at Crossroads and DAEP are incredibly thankful for the opportunity to continue to serve our students, families, and community. We hope everyone is safe out there, and we will continue to bring the best of who we are to our work moving forward.
