1. Instruction 5 days a Week/Cohorts A and B
Laurel Springs School will be FULL-REMOTE STARTING ON NOVEMBER 30TH (THIS MONDAY) UNTIL JANUARY 19TH. STUDENTS WILL WORK FROM HOME DURING THIS PERIOD OF TIME.
Our students will receive 5 days of instruction weekly, through Google Meet meetings with their teachers. We have kept our cohort A and B students seperate to provide small class sizes. Each cohort will meet with their teacher in the morning and also in the afternoon. As a district we have aligned our newest schedules in accordance with providing our students as much meaningful interaction with their teachers as possible. Please know that we have taken many of last years obstacles into consideration throughout the planning for this full-remote closure. We are here to help. Please feel free to reach out to teachers or me with any questions you may have regarding your student's new schedule.
2. Accessing Student Work
All students will have work posted for them each morning on their teacher's learning platform as they have all year. Because we started the year in-person, it gave our teachers and students a chance to engage in some very productive face to face interaction in navigating learning platforms and aligning expectations for submitting work on them.
3. Schedule Email- Tomorrow 11/25/20
Also included in the email will be pertinent information on how to access learning platforms and Google Meet meetings. We are attempting to have as smooth a transition as possible into full-remote learning. If in fact you do not receive an email, please feel free to reach out to your child's teacher or the office and we will be sure you receive this very important information so that you are prepared to start full-remote instruction on Monday November 30th.
4. Wednesday Schedule
Our current Wednesday Schedule will stay in effect. The students' day will end at 12:30 and they will complete their assigned special area assignments. An instructional schedule for Wednesdays will be sent tomorrow with your student's full-remote schedule.
5. Specials
Specials will stay in effect as they have been. Students will receive a post on Wednesdays with an assignment for Health, Recess Runners (PE), Computers, and Spanish. These assignments will be due the following Wednesday.
6. Events/Activities
7. Students Who Were Hybrid Full-Remote Prior to Our Switch to School Wide Full-Remote
8. RTI
9. Packet Pick-Up/Drop Off
10. Attendance/Google Meet Rules
The Google Meet Rules established earlier in the year will be enforced as part of each student's participation grade. A copy is below.
