Dear Families-Read on for the News

Dear PPCS Families,

We have always viewed families as a key component and partner in the education of their children. Now more than ever is this true. Over the past year, your feedback has been instrumental in identifying ways to support families and students through a global pandemic. Much has happened over the past year and things are shifting quickly. As a result, we think this is an opportune time to re-evaluate our approaches to better serve our students and families. As you may have heard, staff members choosing to receive the vaccine received their first dose and will be fully vaccinated by March 2nd. A number of other members in our local community have also been vaccinated. In addition, PPCS has recently implemented some shifts to include more in-person learning to better support, certain learners. We continue to strive to meet the needs of all students., To help us plan our next steps we need your feedback. We are wanting to hear how your family is doing over the last several months and your preferences for proposed learning models moving forward for the rest of the school year. As always the health and safety of students and the community will be an important part of our decision-making. Factors such as the rate of community spread of COVID-19 and the spread within schools will continue to be closely monitored regardless of the plans we put in place. The Board will use your feedback to help inform the decision-making process at their next Board meeting on February 8th.

Please respond to this survey no later than February 1st!

Much appreciation,

Jeneille Branen & PPCS School Board
