Dear Robert Hunter families,


We had another great week. A highlight was a visit from one of our therapy dogs, Maggie. Ms. Arlene Boulas, Maggie’s handler, met with a few classes this week and will continue to meet with more classes in the coming week. The students were so excited to meet Maggie and learn more about her!


We hope to see many of you at the Whole Child Resource Fair on Tuesday. This will be a great event with many resources for families.


We are looking forward to some fun family events after spring break! We hope to see many families at the Robert Hunter Family Olympics and Diversity Night! Please read more about these events below.

April 14- Day 3, Class basket donations due, After-school literacy/ESL clubs will NOT be held

April 15-22- No school - Spring Break

Diversity Night

We are getting excited for Diversity Night on May 27th, and we are looking forward to celebrating the diverse cultures of our community. We hope that many of you will participate by preparing a cultural dish or hosting a table that reflects your culture, nationality, and/or country. Students can also share a performance that celebrates and/or teaches about their cultures.

Family Olympics

Family Olympics will be April 29th. This is a fun event, in which families can enjoy a family-friendly competition for the RH Family Olympics trophy! RH teachers will be there to run stations and cheer on families! See the flyer below to register your family. You can also pre-order pizza on the registration form.

2022-2023 Class Lists

Creation of class lists is an important responsibility that teachers, school counselors, and administrators take very seriously. A great deal of time and effort goes into creating classes which are well balanced academically and socially. Many factors are considered in making placement decisions. Because it is not as simple as placing a student with a teacher without considering all of the dynamics of each class and the individual and collective needs of the students, the Flemington Raritan School District does not honor parental requests for specific teachers. Parents may write a letter stating specific needs that their child has which may be considered when placing the student. The letter should state facts to consider and not request a teacher. Please submit any letters to Mrs. Glaab and Mrs. Braynor by May 1, 2022.

Gertrude Hawk Chocolate Fundraiser - Order Pickup - April 11th , 5-7pm

Thank you to everyone who ordered chocolate to support our fundraiser! We will have order pickup outside of Robert Hunter on Monday April 11th from 5-7pm. Please pull up in the drop off/pickup line and we will hand you your order!

Afterschool Enrichment Update

We have had such a fantastic response to our After School Enrichment programs and several of our programs are full! There are still space in the following clubs:

KickQuest Martial Arts - Grades K-4- Mondays 5/2, 5/9, 5/16, & 5/23

Drawing Class - Grades 2-4 - Wednesdays - 5/4, 5/11, 5/18, 5/25- Please note we have opened this class up to 2nd graders due to space available!!

Mindfulness Club - K-4- Wednesdays 5/4, 5/11, 5/18, 5/25

Social Skills Club Grades 3-4 - Wednesdays 5/4, 5/11, 5/18 & 5/25

World Cultures Club - Grades K-2 Fridays 5/6, 5/13, 5/20, & 5/27
