The Parsons Happenings

A Message from Proud Principal, Laura Clark
We've had an exciting week at Parsons! We kicked off our school wide reading program with students boarding the Bookmobile and getting to choose from a wide selection of books. We also had a special visit from 'Chopper', the Braves Mascot. What a great way to get our kiddos excited about reading!
The PTA fundraiser is in full swing! Our students are super excited about the key chain prizes they earn when they bring in their fundraising donations. Who doesn't love a fidget spinner ring and a Pikachu squishy?! I've heard buzz in the hallway there are a few students who have donated $500 just so they can throw pie in the face of their principal and their teacher. After all, I like pie and I love that the fundraising money will go to the purchase of new Chromebooks for our students. We are almost half way to our goal of raising $30,000!
Have a great Labor Day weekend! It not only allows us a 3 day weekend to make special memories with our families but it also is the reminder of the contributions that our work force has made to the strength, prosperity, and well-being of our country.
Proud Principal,
Mrs. Clark

Parsons' Korean Special
We are proud and thankful that our school district has offered this program to our school and that ALL students get to participate because we know our county and local community are becoming a destination for many international companies, and these companies need a globally competitive workforce that possesses language skills and cultural understanding. Our school is supporting this initiative by offering the Korean special to our students.
