Military policy is public policy dealing with international security and the military It comprises the measures and initiatives that governments do or do not take in relation to decision-making and strategic goals, such as when and how to commit national armed forces. Security strategy and policy are among the most important issues any state confronts, especially in a time of war. At SSI, research on these issues focuess on three primary areas military and strategic theory grand strategy and the assesment and critique of critical national strategic documents.
