ACTIONS SPEAK LOUDER THAN WORDS!
Dear Roberts,
What does the word abracadabra mean? We have all heard this word before when a stage magician pulls a rabbit out of a hat. The reason I am going here is because I have been seeing some serious magic happening in our school. The origin of the word abracadabra is Aramaic from the word avra kadavra, meaning “it will be created in my words.” In the Hebrew language, the phrase translates more accurately as, "it came to pass as it was spoken." Roberts Family, our spoken words and actions echo throughout our building, but also in the hearts of others.
I want to share with you a few spoken words (abracadabra), which resulted in pure magic.
Shepard Middle School & Jonas Clarke Middle School
Jonas Clarke Middle School, under the leadership of Anna Monaco in the great state of Massachusetts, raised over $5000 to support our students and their families. I cannot say enough about the fine people of Lexington. This money will now also allow us to help two of our feeder schools. With the collection of several $10 Walmart gift cards, Clark Middle School will help several families with immediate essentials.
What is the Definition of Aviator Pride?
So many of our teachers brought gift cards which were passed out immediately so families can have what they need now. Our pantry is providing needed items for hundreds of our students' families. We are truly a school of service. With all this being said, the time that each and every one of you put in to help someone in this great city of Houston is what has been the game changer. I added all the giving our school has received and it is over $10,000.
As I write, I am in awe of your kindred and infectious spirit of giving. Thank you for unlashing your magic throughout the lives of our students and work family! I am humbled by our national support and by your actions.
Abracadabra,
Jorly

Thank you, thank you, thank you for your generous clothing donation! Our students and families are in great need and before we can begin to meet their academic needs, we must ensure their basic needs are met. Our community has been so supportive and you don’t know how much it means that when Ms. Gallardo mentioned the devastation in our area that you immediately gathered resources to meet the needs of our students! Ms. Gallardo and I are proud to have our own Fairmont Vikings (past, present and future) and it was wonderful for them to see the true meaning of community. Thank you from the bottom of our hearts!
