A message from the Principal
Every week, I introduce a new "Word of the Week" at our whole school morning meeting. During past weeks, words such as welcoming, inclusive, diligent, conscientious, and respectful have been discussed. This week, our word is voracious. This has been a favorite word of the staff for quite some time.
Two and a half years ago we wrote our school vision. The full statement can be viewed on the Warren School website here. At the time, we talked about the word voracious at length, and included it in the sixth bullet of our school vision:
We will empower all children to become voracious readers, powerful writers, and clear communicators.
This week, we expanded our definition to encompass all teaching and learning at Warren School. Our goal is to always make students eager for more. We want them to have a voracious appetite for all types of learning. In order to succeed at this goal, the Warren School teachers demonstrate a voracious appetite for teaching and learning. What a powerful combination!
