Eagle Academy Weekly Update
Week of January 30, 2022
Principal's Message
And the winner is…..?
In each class, during every school day Eagle students have the opportunity to earn points. Up to 10 points are awarded per class for academic work and appropriate behaviors. The points are tallied by our math teacher, Mrs. Vogt, and at the end of the week students receive the percentage of their points that they ‘ve earned.
The student who has earned the highest percentage of their points is designated “Student of the Week.” They receive a certificate and a coupon for a bagel. At end of the month we do a similar tally and are able to designate our “Student of the Month.” That person receives a certificate and a $25 gift card to WaWa.
Below is the list of the students with the best points for the month of January.
Congratulations to:
1. Markus (January’s Student of the Month)
2. Cristian (1st runner up)
3. Brittany (2nd runner up)
4. Adante (3rd runner up)
5. Robert (4th runner up)
"This past week the groundhog saw his shadow. I'm pretty sure that means there are 5 more months of school. Let's take them one day at a time shall we?"

Weightlifting is a Lifestyle
Dr. Adonis Alejandro, an EHT alum and former Olympic Weightlifting hopeful, is serving our community as a Chiropractor specializing in clinical nutrition and lifestyle performance. Dr. Don spoke with some of our students who have acquired a newfound passion for weightlifting. He spoke about the nutritional and lifestyle benefits of the sport, how the passion of the sport can transition into a career, and gave some insight into technique. Mr. Collesano and the students in attendance shared their daily regimen and goals, as Dr. Don gave some Cross-Fit (circuit-training) coaching suggestions. Students left the presentation with a much better understanding of the sport of weightlifting and how it can provide unlimited positive impacts on their lives.
