WHPE March Update
Building Strong Connections: Educate. Engage. Advocate
March Madness, Spring Break, and SHAPE America Highlights
Hello Wisconsin Health and Physical Education Professionals!
I love March Madness and the NCAA Basketball tournament. March Madness is exactly that...a time when anything is possible and teams playing their best games, together, move on further into the tournament. It is great to see what hard work, dedication, commitment, and team work can do to help propel teams past higher seeded teams, and reaching greater heights together with their teammates.
There are so many themes from March Madness that can be shared with our students and colleagues regarding team work, commitment, dedication, perseverance, and growth mindset. What themes can you share with your students in the units you are working on right now? What goals can you tap into with your students? What skills do they need to be able to persevere and improve to get to their next level?
As this WHPE update arrives to you, many of you may be on spring break, or have just a few more days before your break comes next week. I hope that you have a great week and feel rejuvenated for the remainder of the school year when you return! Make the most of your time away!
