Parking Lot News

The parking lot is a busy place before and after school.

We understand that some parents/guardians need to drop their students off at the curb, while others need to park and walk their child in. Please refresh yourself with parking lot procedures.

Drop Off:

If you are dropping your child off, and not getting out of your car, this needs to be done in the outside lane closest to the curb. If you are getting out of the car, you need to find a parking place and park prior to getting out of your car. Our goal is to get each child to school safely. When people are parking by the curb and leaving the car, this is temping families to drop their child off on an inside lane making it challenging for students to see moving cars.

Pick Up:

If you are getting out of your car, you need to find a parking place and park. The lane closest to the curb is for parents/guardians who are picking their child up and staying in the car. You may wait for your child to come to your car, but if they are taking a long time to get to you, please drive around and let other cars take your place. We also have a second inside lane (next to the line of cars by the curb) this is for cars, who have already picked up children, to exit the parking lot. Please do NOT sit and wait in this lane for your child to come. It blocks up traffic.

The middle parking lot lane is for those cars who are parking only! Please do not use that lane to cut through the parking lot and get closer to the curb. This creates too many cars and congestion.

Thank you!
