One of the most beautiful sights in Martinique are the yoles rondes, or grommiers, the traditional fishing boats. People come from all over the world to watch these brightly panted boats.
Language
In Martinique people speak Creole. Creole is a mixture of French and African languages with some Spanish, English and Portuguese words.
Carnival
Carnical is a well known tradition in French speaking countries. It is celebrated with parades, music, dancing, feasting and colorful costumes. It lasts three days and each day has a theme.
