What Did We Learn This Week??
Grammar-Declarative and Imperative Sentences-How to add periods and question marks to sentences.
Writing-Writing a brief Report
Comprehension-
- We read "A Walk in the Desert"
- Identifying the main idea and details of a story.
Spelling-
- Adding -ing and -ed to the end of a word
Science-
- Students were able to candle eggs this week to see if a chick was growing inside an egg
- Students learned about the life cycle of a meal worm and butterfly.
Social Studies
- We will continue to learn about different types of communities

NEXT WEEK'S SPELLING WORDS FOR TRIANGLES-students must get at least 11 words correct on pre-test to be on the triangle list.
Math
This week, we finished our Math Test. They will come home in Friday folders. We started Topic 2- Working with Equal Groups. This topic focuses on Even and Odd numbers. Please use the Home-School connection to understand what we are doing in class.

SCIENCE
The students will learn about three large life cycles during our Science Unit:
- chicks
- mealworms
- butterflies
This week, they were able to see the larva stage of the butterfly and mealworm as well as the candling of eggs.
