A Message from Principal Choquette 3/9/18
Good afternoon and happy Friday! Don't forget to move your clocks ahead on Sunday! Despite the snow, we are getting closer to spring. I had 29 inches of snow at my house from the Wednesday-Thursday storm. I don't believe I've seen that much snow in one storm since I was a kid and although it was beautiful, I'm ready for it all to be gone!
We are looking for teachers for our after school BASE program. We are especially looking for teachers to offer classes for our kindergarten through second grade students. If you are interested, please contact our coordinator, Liam Hurley at liamhurley@northampton-k12.us
We are getting very excited for our Science Fair. We hope you can all join us on March 14th from 6:00-7:30 p.m. Please take a look at the Science Fair section below. I'd like to personally thank Stephanie Pouliot and everyone involved in the Science Fair this year. It is always such a great event and our students do such a fabulous job. Thank you!
Due to the delay on Thursday, Mrs. Dubiel and Mrs. Demerath's 1st grade class will be presenting at celebration next week. Also, celebration will begin at 9:15 next Thursday rather than 9:00 a.m. We hope you all can attend.
Just a reminder that if your child plans on participating in the March 14th Walk for School Safety, please let your child's teacher know in advance.
Thank you and have a wonderful weekend.

REAL Northampton
REAL Northampton invites you to a story sharing event on Sunday, March 18 from 3pm to 5pm in the JFK Community Room. Girls on the Run
Girls on the Run Registration is
still open!
Girls on the Run starts on March 12th at Bridge St and there are still some spots left!
There is a sliding scale for this program and financial aid is available for everyone - no girl will be turned away.
GOTR is an innovative after school program that inspires girls to be joyful, confident and healthy, while using an experienced-based curriculum that creatively integrates running. The program encourages girls to recognize their individual strengths and celebrate connections with others: it's about girl power. No prior running experience necessary!
If you have any questions or need help registering online, please email 3rd grade parent Alex at alexandra.russellb@gmail.com or visit the website: https://www.girlsontherunwesternma.org
Science Fair
Come check out the amazing student science projects at the Bridge Street School annual Science Fair on March 14, 2018 from 6-7:30 p.m.! After you've finished experiencing all of the awesome science projects, visit the Smith College STEM ambassadors for engaging hands-on science activities, or the engineering area for some building fun!
