STUCO & PTO Announce CMS' Teacher of the Month - Grade 5 Mrs. Kalwarczyk

Big picture

Parents & Guardians:

A big thank you goes out to everyone who donated gift items for the holidays; we literally have 100s of toys ready for delivery! It’s amazing to be blessed with so many generous students and families looking to make the holidays a little brighter.

On a separate note, I’m super excited to be honoring over 300 Term #1 scholars next week. We will have guest speakers and an outstanding message to be shared, and we will enjoy a catered breakfast in recognition of everyone’s academic achievement. If your child had a 90 average in all four core areas, he/she will receive an invitation. Parents and guardians are invited as well. If you are a parent or guardian of one of our young scholars and are interested in attending, please RSVP to Mrs. Andre at landre@dcrsd.org by Tuesday, December 11th.

Wishing everyone a wonderful week.

Scholar Recognition Breakfasts – Thursday 5th & 6th / Friday 7th & 8th

This week, we will be honoring students who had a cumulative average of 90 or above in all four core subject areas. Invitations have been sent home via mail and the students will be handed a copy today as well. We are very excited to honor our scholars.

Students Calling Home

We are noticing an increase in the number of students calling home to check on rides, clarification of after school activities, or wanting to change what their plan is. Many times the buses are held while phone calls home are made. Please clarify with your student what the plan will be for any after school activities. As always, phone calls can be made when needed, but we appreciate your assistance with this matter.

CMS’ Toys for the Holiday Season Campaign

We want to thank everyone for their generosity as we have been collecting 100s of gifts for the holiday season. Monday will be the last day for the collection effort. Thank you so much for joining forces with us!
