Student Led Conferences
Why are we doing Student Led Conferences?

Allows for celebration of student accomplishments
Increases student ownership of their learning.
Provides students with voice and choice in the conference experience
Increases student motivation
Improves student accountability
Communicable Disease Recommendations
Due to the increase in reported cases of influenza and the media attention given to the coronavirus (COVID-19) recently, we are reaching out to families to share recommendations from the Center for Disease Control (CDC) for keeping your family safe and healthy, and preventing the spread of communicable illnesses.
The CDC is recommending the following actions to prevent infection:
Wash your hands often with soap and water for at least 20 seconds. If soap and water are not available, use an alcohol-based hand sanitizer
Avoid touching your eyes, nose and mouth with unwashed hands
Avoid close contact with people who are sick
Stay home when you are sick
Cover your cough or sneeze with a tissue, then discard tissue in trash
Clean and disinfect frequently touched objects and surfaces
In addition, please help us prevent the spread of illness in our schools by reviewing the district’s “Too Sick For School” guidelines, and keeping your child home when they are ill. As a reminder, the “Too Sick For School” guidelines require that your child be vomit-free, diarrhea-free, and fever-free without the use of fever-reducing medication for 24 hours before they return to school. A fever is defined by the district as a temperature greater than 100 degrees Fahrenheit when taken orally.
If you have further questions, please reach out to the Waukesha County Public Health Department at 262-896-8430 or access their website at https://www.waukeshacounty.gov/publichealth.

The Wisconsin Forward Exam is designed to gauge how well students are doing in relation to the Wisconsin Academic Standards. These standards outline what students should know and be able to do in order to be college and career ready. The Forward Exam is administered online in the spring of each school year for students in grade 3-8. Dates that Hadfield students will take the Forward Exam will be released soon.
