Welcome to Africa!
The land of beautiful beasts, bountiful feasts, and river ranges spanning all across the land. Africa is famous for being home to multiple plains, mountains, and rivers, including the world's largest one. The geography of this place is truly a masterpiece, and they're even better in person. So, lets explore, and get you a plane ticket!
Wander the Serengeti Plain
One of Africa's many plains, the Serengeti is responsible for multiple sites that include migrations, animals, and plants of unique types. It is in north central Tanzania, and stretches from the southeastern shore of Lake Victoria. These plains can have ledges leading to 3,000 to 6,000 feet above surface level. 500 animals live in this area including lions, pumas, elephants, zebras, and so many more.
Discover the Congo River
From the waters of Lualaba is the upper Congo River, and the supportive Luvua River, too. Flowing from Zaire to the Atlantic, the Congo River is one of the longest rivers in the world. In between all of these connecting rivers are small islands and sandbars. The density around this area makes it practically a rainforest.
Follow tides in the Nile River
Egyptians relied on this river for centuries, and some still do as a religious aspect. The Nile River is the longest river in the world, spanning a whopping 4,160 miles across the lands of Egypt all the way to Southern Africa. If you travel down the Nile, you will definitely see crops and fields of corn and other foods. This is because the Nile is an important source of agriculture to all of Africa's residents. Its even been used as a source of hydroelectricity.
Climb the Great Rift Valley
One large valley ranging from 1,300 feet below sea level to 6,000 feet above over in Kenya, the Great Rift Valley is truly a stunning sight. Beginning in Mozambique, the Great Rift Valley is a rugged landscape that ends in Syria in multiple crags and crevices. Rock climbers come here as a challenge to scale its great walls, and reach the top to feel alive and well. As warm as Africa is, when you scale to the top it can get rather chilly, so be prepared for shivers!
