Continue to Check Sectional & Ensemble Rehearsal Schedules Weekly!

All students are responsible for checking the website calendar for full ensemble and sectional times on a regular basis.


Schedules are subject to change weekly and "I didn't know" is never a valid reason for missing a sectional or rehearsal. We do our best to keep changes to a minimum, but there are always some unforeseen adjustments that need to be made.

There is a significant amount of money that is currently owed on Band Fees.


Please, please, please take a look at your CHARMS account to see what money is owed and settle your account balance this week.


Directors will be calling home to work out payments this week...we must settle all accounts ASAP!

Events, Announcements, and Information

TMEA Region 18 Clinic

Friday, Dec. 8th, 1-9pm

1500 Barbara Jordan Boulevard

Austin, TX

A bus will take all participating students from Akins to the Performing Arts Center.


All students will attend 5th period then come to the Band Hall. Students should bring their own lunch to eat before rehearsals start. We will depart for the PAC on a bus at approximately 11:30am.


  • 1:00pm to 4:00pm - Rehearsal
  • 4:00pm to 6:00pm - Dinner
  • 6:00pm to 9:00pm - Rehearsal


Dinner will be on your own at a restaurant in the Mueller development. You will need to walk to the restaurant of your choice.


Students will be returned via bus to Akins at approximately 10:00pm.

Students will be responsible for their own transportation to the AISD Performing Arts Center.



  • 12:30pm - Students Arrive at the AISD PAC
  • 1:00pm to 4:00pm - Rehearsal
  • 4:00pm - Change to Concert Attire - Pizza Dinner Provided
  • 5:00pm - Concerts Begin



Estimated performance time for the 6A Symphonic Band is 6:30pm and for 6A Wind Ensemble is 7:00pm.


Students are responsible for their own transportation from the AISD Performing Arts Center.

Earn Money for Your Band Fees, Trip Payments, and Lessons

Did you know that you can work shifts at the UT Erwin Center to earn money for your fees, trip payments, and lessons? Each shift pays $35 to $75 per person depending on the event and business.


There are always shifts available and we are already needing people to work!
