Endangered Animals
The Red Wolf
About Red Wolves
My scientific name is Canis Lupus Rufus. It stands for Red Wolf. My habitat is warm, moist, and densely vegated; although they were also present in pine forests, bottom land hard wood forests, coastal prairies, and marshes. The Red Wolf is one of the most endangered animals in the world. I am endangered because they removed the law for killing wolves )=. Farmers think that we are killing their cattle, so the farmers start shooting us. We are down to about 200 more red wolves, so humans are helping by rescuing us and breeding us. The red wolf was declared extinct in the wild in 1980 after the last known wild wolves were captured and taken out of the wild to begin a captive breeding program.
Red Wolf Growl
Red wolves are very protective of their pups and territory. They use their sharp teeth to fight, hunt, and kill.

Another Red wolf growl
If a red wolf comes on another's wolf territory, the pack of the territory will not be nice to the stranger wolf.
Why the red wolves will be missed
Red wolves are very special because there's only about 260 of them right now. The other reason why we would be missed is because there's only 3 different times of wolves (including me), The Timber Wolf, The Gray Wolf, And me. I keep the deer/elk population good, so do I with small rodents. How YOU can help: Humans are taking about 40 red wolves out of the wild and breeding them right now. You can help by volunteering and helping them to. Make sure you treat the red wolf very well though. There's about 100-300 red wolves right now. Hopefully this gave you more info about the Red Wolves. =D Bye
