Sessions Offered at HCES
- Level 1: Thursday, February 13

Where: HCES Computer Lab
Level 1 SMART Board:
Participants will learn the basics of SMART Board setup with an overview of the SMART Notebook software, including floating toolbar.
Level 2 SMART Board:
Participants will learn how to effectively search, download, and edit SMART Notebook lessons from the SMART Exchange. Time will be provided to explore the SMART Exchange for individual needs.
Level 3 SMART Board:
Participants will extend their knowledge of using SMART Notebook software to include creating a file system for clipart and slides, applying consistent lesson design, and using the SMART recorder to create video lessons.
Higher Order Thinking Skills (HOTS) Apps for Educators
- Session 1: January 30
- Session 2: February 25
- Session 3: March 27
- Session 4 & 5 (combined): May 1
- Session 6: May 27
- Final Session: June 10
Where: HCES Lab
Participants will explore 2-4 apps per session focusing on the different levels of Bloom's Taxonomy. Between each session, participants will implement a lesson using those apps and then share at the next session. Those who participate and fulfill all course requirements will receive 15 re-certification points.
All Tech Throwdowns will be held 3:00-4:00pm

Join us for our first ever Tech Throwdown series! Come and be prepared to share your favorite tech integration lessons, websites, or apps. Each participant will have 2 minutes to share and if we like what you're throwing down we'll let you keep yappin'. Ideas, tools, and resources will be recorded on a shared wiki for future reference.
