Digging History in Saratoga
There is a lot of interesting archaeology going on Saratoga. First, we welcome a new Superintendent to Saratoga National Historical Park. Amy Bracewell is leading the park that includes the Schuyler House, Saratoga Monument and Victory Woods. She has an extensive academic background, including two master's degrees (art history and historic preservation) and did course work with Harvard University's Archeology Field School. Also the park is doing an archeological investigations at the Schuyler Estate. There are two talks planned in September to share the findings (see below). The community has received some international attention as the National Geographic program Diggers visited the Marshall House and interviewed Town Historian Sean Kelleher. The program airs on Friday, September 4 at 6 pm.
