Modified Bell Schedule

During Conference Weeks, from Oct. 4-15 we will be following a modified bell schedule.

TK/K - 1:10 p.m.

1st-5th - 1:30 p.m.

All TK-5 students dismissed at 1:30 p.m.

We are three days into conference week. By now, you should have been given the opportunity to meet with your child's teacher virtually, in-person, or by phone.

If you have scheduled an in-person conference, the following protocols will be in place:

1. Conference participants will need to wear a mask as soon as they enter campus;

2. Conference participants will need to maintain 6 foot distancing when indoors.

Where are my artists? Brainstorm a list of kindness slogans or look up quotes about kindness. Examples include, “Being kind never goes out of style!” or “Kindness Changes Lives.” Or choose your own favorite slogan or quote and design a poster around it. We will display your poster around campus!

A Little Competition Among Friends!

It’s pizza time! Starting this Friday, Oct. 8 and for the next 4 weeks, we’re selling Pizza Kits to raise money so we can help the teacher's buy more school supplies for the students! To reach our goal and be successful, we need everyone’s help. It’s super easy to join the fun!

You can customize your page, upload a video, create an avatar, and watch how many pizza kits you’ve sold. On Friday, October 8, you’ll get your own special link to send to your friends and family so they can buy delicious pizza kits and support our fundraiser. Pizza Kits will be delivered directly to their home by FedEx, so send the link to your out of state family and friends, too. You can even post your Seller link on your social media pages.

Every kit we sell earns $6 profit and makes an impact. The class that sells the most will win a PIZZA PARTY! Don’t forget to buy some for yourself!

Let's make it a virtual party, too by using a hashtag to see how we're doing! The student that has the most hashtags: #CroceLittleCaesarsParty21 wins ice cream for them plus a friend!

Let the pizza games begin!

We Need You!

Paraprofessionals are needed in our Special Education Preschool Program. Croce is home to 6, and soon to be 7, preschool classes. If you are interested in working with 3-4 year olds, please consider applying for an open position. Generally speaking, the hours are from 8:15 a.m. - 2:45 p.m. More information can be found on the Employment page of the District's website.

Modified Quarantine

Through a partnership with the California Public Health Department (CDPH) and BayPLS (our District's mobile testing agency), we can offer a modified quarantine option which allows our students to stay in school after exposure to COVID positive contact.

More detailed information about Modified Quarantine can be found on the Croce Website. If this option is appealing to you, please complete the testing registration and consent form. Should a positive COVID case be found in your child's classroom, we will defer to the registration database. If you have pre-registered for Modified Quarantine, you child will be able to remain in school. Otherwise, you will need to pick up your child to begin the traditional 10 day quarantine at home.

"I Will Change the World by..." is this year's theme for the National PTA Reflections program. Have your artist create original art in any (or all!) of the categories with the "I Will Change the World by..." theme in mind. Artists reflect on the theme to create their original art and describe that connection in their artist statement.

All submissions will be done virtually! Please read the Croce Reflections Getting Started Guide for directions on how to submit.

One student in each category and age division moves on from Leo Croce Elementary PTA to the Peralta PTA regional division. All students get honored and recognized at Leo Croce for their amazing work. It's a great way to recognize your students' artistic abilities!

Communication between home and school is always encouraged. During the school day, from 8:30 a.m. - 2:50 p.m., our teachers are busy working with your child/ren. If you have an urgent message that needs to be relayed to your child, please contact the school office. Otherwise, you can expect a response from the teacher within 48 hours of your email/phone call.

Universal Free Lunch

The following information has been taken from the website.

"Our Child Nutrition Department is excited to share that all students, regardless of family income, can receive a daily school lunch free of charge for all instructional days in the 2021-22 school year! While a free and reduced lunch application does not apply this year, completing the Alternate Income Form can result in students qualifying for additional benefits such as Pandemic EBT, scholarships for placement exams, and discounted internet service."
