U of MN's Ramp-Up to Readiness
Let's help children in the state be prepared for college! The University of Minnesota's Ramp-Up to Readiness program has created a free resource that all schools in Minnesota can share with their communities this fall. "College Readiness Tips for Families" has timely ideas for children from birth to high school that parents and caregivers can use to assist with development in academic, admissions, career, financial, and social emotional readiness.
Families can access the link here, or schools can download the hyperlinked PDF itself and attach it to an email directly to parents.
Rural Districts: Help AASA Protect Investments in Rural Education!
If your district participates in the Rural Education Achievement Program (REAP)—we need your help. In FY23, REAP received an unprecedented $215 million and to maintain that level of investment, we must cut through the noise on Capitol Hill and demonstrate the critical value of this program—the only federal program that provides investments specifically for rural schools.
Please take 5 minutes to complete this survey—the first of its kind—on how you use REAP investments in your districts. Whether you participate in the Small Rural School Achievement (SRSA) program or the Rural Low-Income Schools (RLIS) program, your perspective is essential to telling the story of how the REAP program supports rural schools and students.
