Hello All,

This past week was one that really showed me the need for patience and flexibility. No matter how much you prepare, sometimes we are unable to control technology. Hopefully this week will be the end of technical difficulties.

Moving forward to the upcoming week, my Schoology page will look a bit different there will be a some different folders available:

  1. How do I(It will have helping tools, and tips to help keep assignment organized.)
  2. Syllabus and Contact information -
  3. Assignments for the current week containing a folder for each day of the week
  4. Past weeks assignments (This will contain the assignment folders for previous weeks)

I will have the entire weeks assignments posted on Friday by 3:00 pm. If you have any questions please do not hesitate to ask.

Life Values & Goals Auction

Award winning and World renowned livestock auctioneer, took time to help teach 7th & 8th grade FACS students the value of getting what you want in life. During this unit activity students were given $2000.00 imaginary dollars to spend on those material and non-material values they want to have in their future lives. Each chose at least 5 values & goals. They kept track of their money and adjusted their bids based on each purchased item. Items auctioned ranged from live a long healthy life to marry someone beautiful; as well as be a successful athlete, doctor and help the poor. The auction provided a real life experience for goal setting and reflecting on what they really value. In all four classes "to have a good relationship with my parents" was a top bid item in one class the bid went all the way to $2,000.00!
