Exciting and Engaging Things at the Middle and High School
Student Survey Responses and Analysis
This week, Bloomfield teachers analyzed student responses from a survey given earlier this month. Staff had an opportunity to talk about student need and perspective as it related to instruction. There were very interesting responses!
Student Mock Election
On Tuesday, November 1st, Bloomfield students will participate in a Bloomfield tradition held since 1992. During the school day as the students attend study halls'they will be given the chance to participate in in a school wide mock election.The students will choose between Donald Trump, Hillary Clinton, Gary Johnson or Jill Stein by signing in on a provided registration form and be given the oppunity to use an actual voting machine in tabulating their vote. In past elections, the students voted for Bill Clinton, George W. Bush, Barack Obama and Mitt Romney for President of the United States.The students selected the winner of five of the past six election cycles. Who will the students select this year?

EUROPE TRIP INFORMATION
Anyone interested in signing up for the 2018 trip to Ireland, please pick up the information from Mrs. Darling in room 204. Students who are in 8th grade this year will be able to travel in 2018.
ATTENTION 8th GRADE NJHS MEMBERS!
We will have a brief meeting on Monday, October 17th after school in Ms. Ruger's room. Our goal is to fill out current service hours and discuss ways to earn more service hours for those who need or want them!

ACADEMIC CHALLENGE BOWL MEETING –
There will be an informational meeting for Academic Challenge Bowl on Wednesday, October 19th, 11th period in room 253. All middle school students are welcome to attend.
ALFRED UNIVERSITY ENGINEERING & MATERIALS SCIENCE DAY
Thursday, October 20- Unique scholarship opportunity to attend Alfred University Inamori School of Engineering.
Permission Slip and Information can be picked up at the Guidance Office.
