While scholars participate in a STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering, Math) assembly, Bryan Road staff members will guide families in learning more about their child's current level of performance and provide resources and ways for you to support your child at home. We will provide hands on activities for you to use with your child at home and will help you set a learning goal for your scholar at the end of the event.
CREW Night is a great time to build relationships with other Bryan Road families and staff members! This is a FREE event and dinner and childcare (for all ages) are both provided!
A schedule is provided below for you to view!

- Children Ages 5+ Winter Wonder Lab STEM assembly
This event will have your kids gasping and laughing at the Mad Scientist’s exciting science experiments. Through a mixture of science and magic the children will see a playing card vanish only to reappear again! Watch as our special snowman is de-frosted right before their eyes! See an Insta-Snow explosion! The Mad Scientist will introduce the audience to a mysterious rock that turns out to be dry ice. Using the dry ice, the Mad Scientist will make bubbling potions, popping corks, shivering quarters and clouds of fog. All will have a wonderful time of giddy goodness and fun!

PTA Volunteer Opportunity!
The advocacy committee would like to ask for volunteers for a volunteer opportunity! The Bair Foundation is a local agency in Raleigh, NC providing foster care services and support in the community. The Bair Foundation recognizes the diverse backgrounds, characteristics and needs of foster youth and actively recruits foster families of all races, ethnicities and backgrounds without discrimination. Bair supports their foster families through the certification process and after the placement is made. Families are well trained to ensure their success as they foster children and teens as Bair believes that foster families are the agents of change and they want them to feel loved, appreciated, and valued. As part of the training process, they have a training the 3rd Thursday of every month (one day during that week) and are in need of a few parents (or anyone over 18) to help babysit children on the 3rd Thursday of every month while foster parents are in their foster parent training. As the advocacy committee, our goal is for at least 3 people to sign up to help in February and 3 to sign up for each month through May! Please keep in mind that the company will need to run a background check for anyone that is interested in participating. If you are interested in voluneering, Jessalyn will send you a form to send to the foundation so that they can do the Background check to approve you as a volunteer. If you are interested please email Jessalyn.pedone@gmail.com.
We would also love for some of you to write a sweet letter or make a Valentine to send to some of the children currently in foster care so that we can share the love and help them know that they are thought of and cared for this Valentine's day!
Please contact Jessalyn Pedone at Jessalyn.pedone@gmail.com if you would like to participate in either event or activity or have any questions!
PARENTS: We also need additional individually wrapped snacks for the school which can be dropped off to the school counselor's office or sent with your child to school and can be taken to the counselor. THANK YOU for those who have already donated items.. WE APPRECIATE YOU ALL! <3
FUTURE EVENTS: Keep a look out for some other upcoming volunteer and philanthropy opportunities the Advocacy committee has planned in the next few months!
