SEC Charges former Apple Executive with Insider Trading
The Securities and Exchange Commission filed a lawsuit against a former Apple Executive, Gene Levoff, alleging he exploited his position as a high-ranking attorney to illegally trade Apple stock before the company disclosed its quaterly earnings report to investors. Levoff traded Apple stock relying on insider information on at least three occasions.
At the Water's Edge, Seaports are Slowly Bracing for Rising Ocean Levels
Over the last 100 years, sea levels around Virginia's coast have risen about a foot and a half, and port officials say they could rise another foot and a half in the next 30 years. The southeastern Virginia coast is among the most threatened areas in the country according to a report, with big military facilities alongside the major commercial port set up along a low-lying land in what is known as the Tidewater region makes it more vulnerable that other areas.
