Druid Hills High School

Community Week at a Glance 9/28

Thank you to all those who participated in making Homecoming 2015 memorable (especially our Class Sponsors, Student Council, and Float Building Hosts)! Congratulations to the Red Devils, whose 14-10 victory over Tri-Cities was the first Homecoming win in over a decade (we believe since 2001). Congratulations also go to Homecoming Queen, Carolina Almanza, and our Homecoming Court. Finally, a shout-out goes to the 2015 Homecoming Float Winners, the Class of 2019!

PRIDE - for soon-to-be teenage drivers and parents

P.R.I.D.E.-An educational program from the Georgia Traffic Injury Prevention Institute (GTIPI). The program seeks to reduce the high number of crashes, injuries and fatalities involving teen drivers in the state of Georgia. The program will address driver attitude, knowledge and behavior, rather than technical hands-on driver skills. It will complement driver education and training; it is not a replacement for these courses.

P.R.I.D.E. is a free, two-hour course designed to help parents and their new teen drivers, ages 14-16, learn what they need to do during the 40 hours of supervised practice driving time.

The next session will be held October 24. Please see the link to register.

raise.me is free for students and enables students to earn scholarships for their achievements in class, attendance, participation, or leadership roles in sports and clubs, community service, test scores.
