From The Principal's Desk

Dear Parents

Well, today was only the dress rehearsal and I can tell you that if you will be attending one of the Junior Production shows this week you certainly won't be disappointed. The costumes look amazing, the performers were outstanding and everyone is all set for the limelight at 11:00am & 6.30pm tomorrow and 6:30pm on Wednesday.

The rehearsal at GEIS was a huge success and a fantastic opportunity for the children to perform to a very appreciative Senior School. It was also great to see a contingent of enthusiastic pre-schoolers from both Titirangi Kindergarten and Shining Starz.

With the end of term now firmly on the horizon, I'd also like to take this opportunity to welcome a new member of the teaching team, Hilary Peterson. Hilary will be opening our Term 4 new entrant class in Room 14, and we are delighted to welcome her on board to work alongside the latest additions to our learning community. I am sure that she will make a very positive contribution to the class and the Y0 Syndicate. I am also very pleased to welcome back Alana Morgan this term. Alana has been away on maternity leave for much of this year but we're fortunate to have her back teaching with us for one day a week until the end of the year.

I look forward to seeing many of you at one of the "Colour My World" shows if you are able to attend as we look ahead to the final week of Term 3.

TITIRANGI TOUCH RUGBY

Titirangi Primary School – Touch Rugby Season 2014 /2015

Calling all Touch Rugby players to play for Titirangi Primary school teams for the new 2014 / 2015 season. Starts in Term 4, 29th October -10th December (6 games, no game 5th November). Then the same competition will continue in Term 1 2015, 11th Feb -18th March (6 games).

Games this year will be played on Wednesday nights between 4 - 6pm approx. at Shadbolt Park, the Suburbs Rugby Club, Portage Road. Teams will include Mixed teams, Boys teams and Girls teams (depending on the level of interest) in the different age groups of players: Years 1 & 2 combined/ Years 3 & 4 combined / Years 5 & 6 combined. Teams are allocated in Term 4 and stay as the same teams in Term 1 2015.

All children are welcome to play – from first timers wanting to give it a go to our experienced players who can’t wait to get back on to the field! Registration forms will go home with your child/ren this week and teams will be allocated before the start of Term 4 and according to their school year.

Please note: As with all sporting codes at this level we require the support of family members who are interested in Coaching or Team Manager roles to ensure each team can take part in the competition so please start thinking about whether you have some extra capacity to help out? All teams need a Coach and Manager to be registered and Years 1 - 4 have a Coach on the field with them. If there is no one to Coach, the team cannot play! Training and general rules will be supplied so anyone can do it!!
