MTRS Student and Family Update
2/5/2021
Dear Students and Families,
We ushered in the first week of February with good ol’ fashioned New England snow day (hope you did something FUN!) and a remote learning snow day--the times are changing for sure! We have one more full week of school followed by February break which runs Monday, Feb. 15 through Friday, Feb. 19.
At the high school level, we’re well underway with Trimester 2 and we want to make sure students have collected the materials they need for their classes. We still have several items in the lobby waiting to be picked up. We will be reaching out to families next week to schedule a pick-up time. For students who are in the building for hybrid, please be sure to check the table for any materials you need for your Class 3 course.
Wednesday, February 10 is a late start day. Below is the schedule:
MTRS State Report Card
The federal Every Student Succeeds Act (ESSA) requires districts to annually distribute school report cards to the families of all students enrolled in each of the district’s schools, regardless of the school’s Title I status or accountability determination. Report cards must include assessment and accountability results, teacher qualifications, and other information related to district and school performance.
In addition to the report cards themselves, ESSA requires that districts notify all parents of students enrolled in Title I schools that they may request, and the district will provide certain information related to the professional qualifications of their student's classroom teacher(s).
The link to view the 2019 report card can be found here: https://reportcards.doe.mass.edu/2020/07170505. You can also request a hard copy from the office.
Lunch Pick-Up
If you are participating in our drive-through lunch pick-up program, pick-up at MTRS is 11:45 a.m. - 1 p.m.
Trimester 1 and 2 Materials
High school students please return textbooks or other materials you no longer need- we need these back for other students to access! Materials can be dropped off in the blue bin outside the main entrance.
If you did not collect materials for new courses, please call the main office to schedule a time. Hybrid students- please remember to check in the main office for any Class 3 materials you may need since you will not have this class in person.
Athletics Update
Our home varsity basketball games are now available via live stream! Follow this Vimeo link for access. You can also catch previously recorded games there! Next week we will have boys basketball on Tuesday at 4:30 PM vs Franklin Tech, and Thursday vs Hopkins at 5:30 PM. Both games will be streamed live from the MTRS gym!
