Principal’s message
Morning drop-off and afternoon pick-up reminders
Parents, please remember that students should be dropped off no earlier than 8:15 unless they are signed up for Kids Network or are arriving for a scheduled club or activity. After school, students should be picked up promptly after dismissal at 3:45 unless they are staying after school for a specific club.
Teachers often have meetings that take place from 8:00-8:25, staff development sessions or supervise after school clubs from 3:45 until the scheduled activity ends.
Students that arrive before 8:15 or are picked up after 3:45 and are not participating in school clubs or programs during those times, are not under teacher supervision. Teachers begin supervisory duties at 8:15 each day and then supervise after school duties at 3:45.
If students will be eating breakfast at school, they need to be here at 8:15 so they have time to eat their breakfast before they go to class.
Your support with dropping off and picking up students at the designated times is appreciated!
Dress for the weather
As the weather begins to change, please be mindful of dressing students for varying conditions. Most mornings are pretty chilly and some classes have recess earlier in the day before it warms up. We take advantage of every opportunity to have recess outside unless it is raining or zero degree temperature.
