October/November Newsletter

We are open!

We are excited about our new library space! Each homeroom class will come to the library on their color day. The books are due back to the library during the next class. For example, if your child has library on Purple Day they will return their book on the next Purple Day!

Extended Library Hours are Back! The library will be open on Tuesday - Friday afternoons from 3:15 - 4:15pm. This is a time to work on homework, check out additional materials, or read together. It will follow the PM Enrichment schedule. If PM Enrichment classes are happening the library will be open. All children who attend must be accompanied by an adult. We look forward to seeing you there!

We are still looking for library volunteers. If you are interested please let us know!

Thank you!

What We Have Been Working On

Below is a highlight of one of the many activities that have been happening with your child in the library in October and November!

Battle of the Books is Coming Soon!

Third and Fourth-grade students will soon receive information about the Battle of the Books! We are partnering with Mrs. LaBarre to bring you this year's battle. This is a voluntary program that has students read books for a list of choices and then work in teams to answer questions about the stories. Watch for more information and a form to sign up will be sent home soon!
