ODOT Survey
We are working with the City of Obetz and ODOT to potentially add more sidewalks and bike paths in our district to make it easier for students to get to school safely. This will not impact bus routes. Please take a short moment and fill out the survey so that we can get the best feedback.
Please complete by Dec 1st.
From the Desk of Mrs. Coalter
Dear Parents/Guardians,
As we continue to foster a positive and conducive learning environment at Hamilton Middle School, I am writing to seek your support in upholding our school's Code of Conduct and Dress/Grooming Policy.
These policies are integral to maintaining a safe, respectful, and inclusive atmosphere that promotes academic excellence. By adhering to these guidelines, we collectively contribute to a school community where students can focus on their studies, personal growth, and interpersonal development without unnecessary distractions.
We kindly request your assistance in reinforcing the importance of appropriate attire and conduct with your child at home. Encouraging them to embrace these standards not only prepares them for success in their academic journey but also instills values that will serve them well in their future endeavors.
If you have any questions or concerns regarding the Dress and Grooming Policy or Code of Conduct, please feel free to reach out to us. We value your partnership and appreciate your commitment to creating a positive and nurturing educational environment for all students.
Thank you for your continued support.
Thank you,
Mrs. Coalter

Thankful For Your Behavior- Ice Cream Sundae Party
On Tuesday, November 21st, we celebrated 113 8th graders and 95 7th graders who had GREAT behavior so far this year. The 208 students who were invited had no classroom level write-ups or office level referrals. These students have displayed respectful, responsible and safe behavior during our first few months of school. Way to go Rangers! Keep up the great work!

Holiday Help
As we enter the holiday season, we're thrilled to once again introduce our Holiday Help Program here at HLS, a heartwarming initiative that aims to provide Holiday assistance to our students in need. It's a time of year when our community can truly come together and make a positive impact on the lives of those less fortunate.
The Canned Food Drive begins this Monday and runs through December 11th. Students can turn in any canned foods to their AIM teachers.

Dismissal Reminders
Please make sure your child knows of their transportation arrangements each day. If a change needs to be made, please contact the school BEFORE 2:00 so we can get the message to your child. Contacting the school after 2:00 does not guarantee that your child will get the message.
Car Rider Reminders
1. Car riders should exit the building using the front doors.
2. Students should enter the vehicle once it has pulled up to the sidewalk area. If you do not see your student, please continue to move forward so we can keep the line moving.
3. Students should not be walking across the parking lot or the grassy area to get to a car that is not yet to the sidewalk. This causes a significant safety concern!
4. Drivers, please drive slowly, follow the flow of traffic and be patient!
Student safety is of utmost importance! Please help us keep our students safe by following these guidelines.
